Project management can be defined as planning, organizing, and managing resources in order to meet the end goal of the project. During each step in a project, it requires a lot of organization and documentation to keep you on track. I found there are quite a lot of useful templates that can be downloaded for free using Microsoft Office Templates to help you during each phase of a project.
To see what templates you currently have in your Microsoft Office Applications, simply opening a new session in Microsoft Excel or Word (for example), Click on the Office (Big Yellow) button at the top left, and go to “New.” A new workbook/document should appear where you can select from several different templates listed under “Installed Templates.” If you do not have any templates currently installed in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, etc, you can download then off Microsoft’s website by clicking here.
Some of These Helpful Project Management Templates Include:
- Helpful Project Management Guide
- Project Charter
- Weekly Status Report
- Project Plan – Gantt Chart
- Team Communication Plan
- Project Initiation Checklist
- Project Closure Report
- Project Post-Mortem
- Project Lessons Learned
